i got a 94 dodge ram 1500 2wd and i need 2 find out what kinda transmission it has specifically, so i can buy a new one, it was a 3.9 engine, but just got a new 360 for it installed.

please help anyone

The 3.9 would have the 42RH behind it.

You wouldn't want that behind the 360 though. You would want a 46RH.

When you had the 360 installed, did you have the transmission changed as well? What year was the 360 motor?

 

a local shop installed the engine either a 00 or 01 not sure, though truck ran rough w/ transmission behind it, they changed wiring harnesses, but did a few things wrong, engine ran rough, i changed a few things. then the oil pressure dropped and i blew the motor up put the crank through the oil pan.. still has transmission but i'm lookin for a new engine and tranny 2 put in the truck

so im trying 2 figure out what parts i need this time 2 make things right and what i'm gonna need 2 change 2 make things work... any imformation is appreciated..
