its all east stuff i have no formal training in mechanics, and i do all my own work, i just learned from hands on experiance, and reading alot.

 

any good magazines i should suscribe to?

 

the best thing you can do is buy the chilton, or a dodge service manual for your truck, you can find em on ebay im sure, and they both will tell you step by step with pics how do change/fix stuff on your truck, and the more crap you mess with, and change/fix yourself, the better you will become, there is no replacement for hands on training.

really nice looking truck, I love the color... did I miss it in another post... is it a 5.2 or 5.9?

 

thnaks man its the 5.9 litre with a standard shift 5 speed. i dont think the 2500's came in the 5.2 litre. my old 1500 was a 5.2

and yeah the color is what sold me as well, my other truck was a 2 tone, and i grew to hate it, lol

 

sweet color man!! probably fun to drive with the 5.9 and a 5 speed, im envious

 

yeah it feels good with the 5-speed, i havent really ripped it around yet, just been driving normal, ill tell you what tho it tows a hell of a lot better then my buddies 5.9 with the automatic, its like night and day.

first gear isnt needed when im not towing, so i just start off in second, and you wouldent know i was in second unless i told you.

 

anyone else recommend these books? is it just a giant list of technical stuff or would it actually be something to read every now and then?

 

Hey!! Don't diss the old paint color. Check out my avatar. Although, I have only had my truck for a few months. It may get old, and if I'm lucky, I can find a sweet color like you came up with. Nice truck!
