I'm not 100%, but you're probably going to need a new mount for your plow due to the frame differences

It'll probably also take some getting used to for you...plowing with a LWB truck instead of a SWB truck. I know it took me a bit...going from a Ramcharger to an extended cab Silverado [&:]

In fact I miss the SWB so much that in the next couple years I plan on picking up a 2nd gen short box regular cab and doing a Dana 60 front axle swap along with a HD transfer case upgrade...and then putting an 8' Boss Vee on the front

It's definitely a nice truck though! I love the color too! I've always wanted a Grand Prix that color

That's what I thought too The silverado is only 2.5ft longer than my Ramcharger, but that 2.5ft makes a big difference...especially in turning radius. [&:]

We have no shop...just a 2 car garage And even that we didn't have until 1993. I've learned what I know from a number of places. My dad was a mechanic in the late 70s and early 80s, so he taught me a lot of basics of automotive operation, but he was a pre-MPFI era mechanic. I learned a lot by reading articles in magazines and on the internet. I also have somewhat of a natural ability for mechanical devices, so a lot of what I know is self taught I guess. I haven't taken any automotive courses. Both my degrees are in the computer science field

Yeah the only stuff I really know is from this forum and stuff I read online. My dad has a landscaping business so I kinda know some stuff, buts its lawnmowers. I'm a mechanical engineer major (freshman) and was inspired to do so after getting my truck and wanting to learn how all the stuff works and hopefully be able to do something with em.
