Changed my thermostat
I get a code (stored code, but not a CEL) in the winter with my 180. But I also get it with my 195 tstat. Reason is, I will often go weeks at a time, and never see my engine temps get up above 140-150. It's not because of my t-stat, it's just that cold outside. Basically, my thermostat just never opens, so it doesn't matter if it is a 180 or a 195. Now in the summer, the tstat definetly opens, and the 180 definetly keeps the engine temps down compared to the 195, and I never get a code in the summer.

I don't think it will get that cold here in missouri, so I don't think mine will throw a code. I reset my ecu.

I noticed my temp gauge last night on the way home (40 deg.) stayed at around 160. I may do the cardboard thing closer to winter just to keep it at correct temp....
