I don't have the lower valance on my truck either. Wasn't there when I bought it.

I put a lift kit on mine and the back was level and I HATED IT. when ever i loaded up the bed it made my truck look like a ***** because the bed was so much lower then the front. so i bought some add a leafs to fix that anyways i think almost every 2500 and 3500 has the 1 to 2 inch hight in that back for the reason so when you load it up it does not look funny. and maybe the bigger leafs.

yeah i dont think the lower valance does anything, its just there to add alittle something to the front of the truck. and like i said my 2500 is almost perfectly level in the front and back, so i dunno.

my valance came off when i hit a raccoon a little over a year ago. the only time i notice anything different now is when im driving on the hiway. doing 120km/h+and passing a truck it really kicks to the left. i miss my front valance
