aero exhaust...
anyone here tried it?

it would be interesting to see if their claims are even close to accurate. as mentioned in another post, I have one sitting in the garage waiting to go on. I consistantly average 15~15.5 mpg combined city/hiway so it'll be interesting to see what it does to my low end torque & mpg.
if anyone has tried it, can you post some feedback...

I have a 3030 on my truck. Specs listed in signature. I can't say that I say an increase in mpg based on my "OVERALL AVERAGES", but I have what I like to call "LEAD FOOT SYNDROME" which only comes when I have a vehicle with a SWEET exhaust system, and I must say that the AERO is more than qualified. I noticed a definate increase in responsiveness.
While I mentioned, that I haven't seen a difference in averages, especially with LFS, I do have 8500 miles of data...every mile since I bought my truck almost a year ago...and I do notice that there are definate times that I see a differnce in mpg. It must be said that my truck is currently a commuter with oversized tires. I travel to school 5 days a week and use my wife's car for most trips. It is a 15 mile trip to school, of which about 1/3 is stop/go/restricted speed/etc. and the rest is 55 mph traffic. It makes several grocery runs during the week which consists of ideling around town as well.
With all of this being said, I must say that I have seen an increase when I get on the freeway or get out of the normal traffic. When I get on the freeway, I have seen as much as a 10% increase in mpg. I get about 13 mpg adjusted for tire size.

thanks for the feedback, i'm shooting for 17 mpg average... I can pretty easily get 17~17.3 mpg on the hiway, all hiway. I average about 15.5 with normal every day driving to & from work. when I took off the cat & stock muffler in favor of the magnaflow, I lost 1.0~1.5 mpg right off the bat. in addition to a bunch of low end torque lost too. Since then I've added an ATS intake manifold which is supposed to bring back 57 ft lbs of torque at 1775 rpms. my butt dyno concurs. Other CTD owners who have used the 4040 aero on their trucks have noticed a jump in low end torque but also as you, claim little mileag change. So since I can pretty much duplicate my runs on a daily basis I should be able to come up with a good comparison.
anyways, thanks again for the feedback.
