I had an exhaust leak that sounded like ***, so I climbed under the truck and saw that the muffler had a hole in it. Is there a replacement exhaust that is quiet like stock but perhaps flows a little better? I don't mind single exhaust (though 3" pipes would be good), but I do want quiet. I don't want a Flowmaster sound or to put dual pipes out the back like those cheesy Pep Boys setups. I'm going to replace the cat with a high-flow unit while I'm under there, too.

Anything other than stock out there? Thanks.

 

You might see if you can find a Walker Quiet-Flow. I have put those on RV's before. They are pretty quiet and I think they are supposed to flow a little better. Unfortunately a high flow muffler is going to be loud. You might look into some kind of turbo style muffler, in my experience they aren't really loud until you get your foot into it.

Eat a couple of rueben sammiches and wash it down with some beer. You'll know what *** sounds like and smells like

 

why do you want it quiet in the first place, if its to loud, ur too old

 

get a magnaflow single in single out. it will be a direct replacement for you stock muffer. deeper tone at idle and better performace. you can hardly tell the differnece between that and stock at cruzining speeds.
