Poly(engery suspension) will ride harder, but last longer then the stock rubber units.

The red is more of an orange color, really.

I know on the PT, I needed a torch to remove some.

Oh I looked at that link, see if you can find the master kit, it should come with all the bushings.

The factory ones are rubber. There are energy supsension's poly eurothane and there are alsos polygraphite, solid aluminum, and del-a-lum bushings. Polyeurothane are good, I have them in the rear leaf springs for my Camaro. They do tend to squeak a little bit due to being less giving. They do last a lot longer too. Polygraphites are hard like polyeurothane, but let metal slide easier due to the graphite lubrication built in.

Oh think they would be worth the time and money to switch out.

they are an excellent upgrade... did it on my 2000 control arm bushings, 1993 jeep grand cherokee control arm bushings, and will be doing it on my 2005 bushings as well.

is the master kit worth purchasing more over just doing it piece by piece as they wear out,

Sorry to reopen an old thread, but this is the right topic for my questions.
I'm looking to replace the worn rubber bushings in my trac bar on a 2000 CTD 4x4 rather than going with an aftermarket trac bar. Anyone done this? I found the Energy Suspension poly bushings for < $7. I'm assuming that is each, not the set. Also, while at it I'm considering replacing all the front end suspension bushings with a master kit, but I've never done that before. Would I need any special tools, other than a fork to remove the steering stablizer? Any gotcha's to be worried about?

Thanks in advance.
Regards, Glenn

PS. I don't drive this truck very much so I can't justify the cost of a replacement tracbar.
