mud terian or all terian
im going to buy some 35 inch tires but im not sure to buy all terians or mud terians.
my buddies say a set of mud terians would look sweet but i think thet will make to much noise. i dont do to much off roading but i do go out and play in the mud a lil. my truck is a 2000 dodge ram with the off road package if that helps you guys at all.
what do you guys think is best?
thanks alot for the help!

I would go for an aggressive all-terraian. they are generally quieter and work pretty good for the occasional mud pit. I have had really good luck with BF Goodrich A/T. Your buddies are right mud terrains look sweet but sometimes arent worth the noise and the crappy handling in the rain
if your truck ever sees a mud hole bf goodrich is not a good tire i got the same truck as you and you cant even ride down a dirt road that is wet with the bf goodrich all terrians my truck slide into the ditch one night with them and when they get into the mud they just spin and bog you down
my suggestion if you are getting an all terrian tire get the pro comp all terrains my buddy has them and there much better than the bf goodrich hes had to come rescue me before when i had my bf goodrich tires on now i just use them for a spare set

my procomp MT's are very quiet on the road. they hardly even hum. they seam to be wearing alittle quick but otherwise there a great tire and handle very good at all speeds. including 85-95 mph.
they do great in mud and on rocks too. i heard Xterrains do very well on the road and have great wear. i think they hum alittle but not too bad. there also ok in mud

I have Cooper Discover S/T on my truck and they look sweet, wear great and are quieter than the highway tires that were on it when I purchased it. They are also inexpensive compared to BFG. I like the BFG's, I have had sets of the MTs and ATs with no problems. While I haven't ran them yet, I am not sure I like the Pro Comp AT or MT...I know a guy that has gotten 38,000 miles out of the Xterrrains though (logger running his 1 ton over weight on and off road) and he loves them, just put his second set on a few weeks ago for hunting season.
yea me neither[8D]
just an FYI, procomps are made by cooper tires

i have the BFG M/T,and i just took them out to the mud for the first time tonight, since we just had a pretty good downpoor last couple days, no problems very impressed way better than the BFG A/T that i just took off, pretty good wear so far ,less than 10k on the tires, just keep up on the rotations and balancing, the road noise isnt that bad , they do look pretty good, got all four at summit for $730 including tax 33x12.5x16.5
I just recently went old school a purchased a set of 315/75 16 Buckshot Mudders. I didn't even know they were still around until I saw them in a local (small) tire shop. I used to run these things back when tires were really loud. I was quite suprised at how quiet these things are. Quite a different tire indeed. $605 dollars well spent, IMO.
