plenum removal
i know this is in another post but i wanted to make sure you see my question.
when i took off the intake though some debris fell into the valley i put some rags in there when i took it off but the initial removal is where it happened. i vacuumed it out and cleaned it with some rags but im nervous about leaving stuff in there. also... when i was scraping the gaskets i think some stuff went into the heads. i vacuumed it out like the manual says. Is this ok? should i just run it a little and then change the oil? what do you think?

RE: plenum removal
Yeah you shouldn't have any problems, just like Steve said anything soft will go through the cylinders without any problems. It is the hard stuff like metal and aluminum pieces that will cause your motor to fail. Nothing you can really do about that first initial bit of stuff that falls in anyway.

do you think an oil change after a few miles is a good idea?

EDIT: I was also only about 700 miles away from doing an oil change so I'm now about to do one.

RE: plenum removal
its really not that hard. just a little time consuming. make sure you have a fuel line disconnect tool, torque wrench, gasket remover and something to scrape the gaskets (i used a new wood chissel, it worked great and didnt scratch) and rtv sealent. let me know if you have any questions.
