Transmission swap?
I would think that your money would be better spent on performance parts for the engine. I don't know what you would spend to get all the parts for that swap but you will still have to modify the engine to get the performance you want. If the tranny you have now decides to go that might be something you could look into but for right now spend your money on the engine.
I don't know what ratio stock 4x4's are running, I am a 2wd guy. You may be able ot find the fron differential gear ration on the sticker under your hood, it should also have your rear axle gear ratio.
I difinitely need to get performance parts for the engine, but I love driving a 5 speed and I figured it could help since i could launch higher and get it moving better. I think the 4x4s are either 3.92 or 4.10 geared.

Shifting a 5 speed is the easy part. My truck takes so long to launch. My 60 foot times at the track are horrible. It would be like swapping a 5 speed into a mustang. That's the most common upgrade on a mustang or honda or most other cars. If you can even half a** drive a 5 speed, you'll beat a car or truck of the same setup, but auto, by at least half a second. I was just curious to see if it was a hard swap. Surely a 5 speed would compliment an m1 intake, mopar ecu, and other bolt ons.
