That shaker looks amazing !!
Hell ... the whole TRUCK looks amazing !!
How would one of those hoods work on a diesel truck? My intake is off to the side, not right on top.
Jarhead ... YES !!! Those rims look GREAT !!

Mayfair, not sure if it would work on a diesel, but with that said, it is made of fiberglass and probably could be modified to fit. The lower section of the scoop fits directly over the TB and is attached to the TB using a 14" round K&N airfilter. You use an S bolt to attach the air cleaner and that holds the bottom of the lower section in place. This piece might be able to be modified to work with the diesel TB. If you were to order one, I would make a pattern out of cardboard and use that to see if you could make it fit. They say in the instructions if you do anything to any of the fiberglass pieces it's non returnable at that point. By the way I purchased this at Summit racing $868 complete. Cheapest price I found back in August when it was installed. If you go to the manufactures website, they have the install instructions on a pdf file, you could check them out and see if you think it could be modified.
There is one thing everyone should know about this scoop. It will allow water (raining or washing) to run right down to the airfilter. I learned this the first time I went and washed the truck. When I started the truck it sucked a little H2O right down the intake, but being a dodge it didn't die, just burned it off and kept going! However, I'm not sure that would be the case with the high compression of a diesel. I ended up drilling some 1/4" drain holes all the way around the aircleaner in the lower section so that most of the water would drain out before I started it. Seems to work OK but still gets a little moisture in the TB now and then.

Thanks for the heads up on the install. Unfortunatley, I don't see it happening on my diesel. My air box is WAAAAAAAY off to the left. Immediately under the hood where your scoop is would be my valve cover.
Oh well ....
Silver_Dodge, the paint job was $807.00 at Econo Paint & Body. Believe me it looks good in the pictures and from 10 feet away, but it's not a factory paint job by any means. Orange peel, some swirls, that kind of stuff. I went to 2 other places that wanted to repaint just like factory, 1st place wanted $4500, 2nd place was $3500. Even Econo told me if I wanted a factory paint job, it would be 3 grand. It's not that the paint is that bad, it's the prep work that sucked. Anyway, I've always been a firm believer in the "you get what you pay for" saying, so I didn't really bitch about it. It does look about 20 times better than when I took it in. 7 years of south Texas brush, mud, dust, and 2 teenage drivers had taken it's toll on the body and paint. My goal was to clean it up, make it run better, and pull the trailer better. It does so I'm happy with it. I plan on buying a CTD sometime in the next 5 years and just wanted this one to look nice until then.
