Glad to see my picture posting instructions worked for you! Welcome to DodgeForum and that is a very nice shaker hood. Really sets the truck off. Now all you need is to lower it a bit....and that thing will look awesome...

Thanks guys, I really appriciate the complements. The picture instructions were great, and easy to follow. Important at my age! I've had this truck since Oct of 98. Just recently did a bunch of work on it. I used to have 33's BFG's on it, but with 2 boys in college and gas prices going up like they did, had to go back to 30's. Milage increased about 2mpg after the change. I also wanted to lower it when doing the build up, but we hunt down in S. Tx. and have a 12 mile dirt road to get into our place. With the gas well trucks always rutting the road up and I'm usually pulling a 16' trailer with 4wheelers or hunting stuff, I just couldn't take a chance on lowering it at the time. The hood is really nice, but I think at a latter date(meaning when money isn't so tight) I am going to have the steel hood cut to fit the shaker scoop. Fiberglass is lighter, but just doesn't fit as good. I have to say though that with the hood, Fastman TB, and Hypertech programmer, this truck runs better than it ever has. I am going to be doing the timing chain, tune up, and the intake mod in a few weeks. Will also be redoing my daul's and adding headers. I added a couple more pics, one of the shaker scoop in the engine bay for those interested, and the new interior. I am thinking I might change the dash color to black though as I went a little overboard on the green. I do like the seat colors and the carpet better than the faded gray that was in there before though. You can also see the custom center console. The inside is deeper so that I can store my CD's standing up and will now hold about 30 of them. I also have a 10" sub mounted in the bottom facing down at the floor underneath. I mounted the amp under the passanger seat and ran all the wires before putting the new carpet in. It works great, but remember, I'm 47 years old and don't need as much base as the young guys!

MAN that's a lot of green.... lovin the white accents but i think black would've been better with the black bezel and handles and stuff.

looks like you did a really good job on that interior. well done. very well done.

i've always loved that shaker hood on the ram. oh i want one...

Welcome aboard jram99
We just dont see enough shaker hoods IMHO
Lovin the looks too, nice job on the interior as well. Hard deciding on what colors to use when you do it. I painted up my interior but just couldnt decide on headliner and carpet. Leaning towards black top n bottom for the reason Crazy mentions.

I have myself just about talked into doing all the plastic in black. It was a hard choice on the interior colors to use. I am happy with the green leather with the sandstone inserts. I didn't want to mess with the factory headliner and the sandstone matches pretty close, kind of ties the seats and headliner together. At first I really liked the black accesories with the green doors & dash, but it's wearing on me now. Once deer season is over, I think I will re-do it all in black. Leave the carpet, seats and headliner as is and just repaint the dash and panels. Nice thing about paint, it's cheap and you can always change the color when you feel like it!
