Default 12 inch e-fans

well i installed two 12 inch electric fans rated at 2100 cfm each. i put one fan on a electronically controlled thermostat and the other on a manual swith. with one fan on the temp with hover right about 210-220 somewhere in there, with both fans on it will run at about 200 even. so, what ive learned from this was that if you want your truck to actually run cooler, you need to have larger fans. i believe im going to switch the fans out and run a 16 inch and a 14 inch in the next few weeks. very simply task to do. thanks for listening...peace out

Or you could change the thermostat to make it run cooler. Electric fans are only gonna free up horsepower.

this will be my next move, to put in a 180 thermostat, if that doesnt help im getting bigger fans. it was running at 200 with the clutch fan, id like it to run slightly less with 1 e-fan and have the second as a back-up for heavy traffic, hot summer days, and long slow trail rides that kinda thing.

most would have recommended 14"s or 16"s. if they are reversable fans, what you can do with one of them is put it in a pusher configuration and mount it in front of the condenser to help it out more. if nothing else, your A/C will be hella cold.

edit: oh yeah, you should make sure the temp controlled fan is on the drivers side... (you probably already knew that).
