Default Sidepipes on my truck

Hey,
I have been looking for ways to make my truck unique and have unusal stuff. So i was thinking about getting a set of 36" chrome stacks like 4" and running them along side of my truck. would that look dumb or dorky. If i could manage to do it right and get it looking good then i think that with a 4 incher it would give it a nice little thump. (not real big on LOUD exhausts) My dad also tried to get SP on his first truck and he said he went under the frame and it looked horrible. So my question is How would i run it around the frame and would it even look good. ( I think it would but still looking for opinions Thanks

sidepipes were popular when i was in high school back about '70. The ONLY ONLY thing they were good for was burning the crap out of your legs (and your girlfriend's) every time you got in and out of the car. Stupid things must have been 300 degrees.

Yup, definetly a 70's bling thing! Used to have a set of Thorleys on a '74 Roadrunner...not bad untill the road salt got 'em! I believe someone may make a replica..but I agree they're not worth the trouble.

I disagree 100%. Maybe I'm just old school, but I drive a black 99 Sport and have a 40 series Flowmaster and would swap it out in a heartbeat for a set of side pipes. Damn that would look SWEET. Tell your passenger to be caeful when they get out. If you do it, post pics, I'd love to see it.

Do you think it would look better with the heat shroud or just the chrome pipes running along theside, I think it would look better with just two 4" stacks turned sideways and connected properly.

I'd stick with just the pipes The shields will rust and often rattle.

Well my 98 has side exit. Not really side pipes. I think if done properly it'd look pretty good man. One of the firts things I'd like to do is send the exits out both sides. Not just passenger. It just has cherry bombs on it right now and it is loooooooud as all get out.

Go for it man if you have the cash.
