Thoughts on engine mods.
I know there is a SEARCH button, and i've used it alot.
I aquired a 97 Ram with rebuild 360. Upgraded cam, M1intake, R/T valve springs and roller rockers.
From everyone's experience here, do you think i should get 24lb injectors before I get the PCM flashed.
Also, is the PCM flash worth the money to calibrate it for the cam.
I also plan to get a 52mm TB and K+N
Thanks for the insight.

HAPPY to answer any question I can... there is nothing better than talking with those who are willing to help!
yes get the pcm flashed to match your cam, which rollers do you have? if they are the 1.7's, rule of thumb here is not to go beyond an R/T cam specs, otherwise go to the 1.6's. You will need to have the pcm flashed to use the 24lb injectors to their fullest potential. otherwise you may run rich under certain conditions. (IMO).

Based on what you are saying I would opt to get the 52mm Throttle body from the Fastman ( http://www.thefastman.com/index.asp )and a K&N CAI before doing anything else.
I have not had my computer flashed but I know many people that have and most believe it is well worth the price. Continue searching the threads for the best recommendation of a company that does it. These are the four that I have heard about.

As far as 24 lb fuel injectors. I had a conversation with Dan Arkand ( The fastman ) and he advised that his 12 second Dakota with the stroked 408 is only running 24 lb injectors. The issue you may have using them with your setup is low end power. Basically the engine may act flooded when leaving the line under full throttle. Once the RPM's climb you will be able to use the full amount.
I would recommend going with maybe 21 lb. injectors at the max. Others on the forum will have their opinions also.

Thanks for the input thus far.
I have to check the spec's of the cam that was installed. The guy had told me them, but i didn't have a pen, so I have an e-mail out with the exacts. To my knowlege it was one of the crane made cams marketed by mopar to be computer OK. I also have to check if he went 1.7 or 1.6. I know they upgraded the valve springs to the "R/T" ones.
I can imagne that re flashing the pcm could help due to the fact that "speed density" type fuel injection systems rely on expected engine charachteristics. At least if the pcm expects the cam and the difference in air flow it can better manage the fuel/spark etc.
Thanks again.

Agreed.

after readying turkey's post... a 52mm may not be big enough... you may want to consider a 55mm if your swapping the cam in search of top end power...

Jarhead,
Not to jack a thread or to pick on you but do you really have a throttle body spacer? If you do you should probably read the link I am including because for our motors they are absolutely useless. On the up-side it will make a fancy paperweight.
