Default Bull Bar for a sport?

I've been looking for a Bull bar for the front of my truck. The only thing every one i look at all say 99-01 exept for sport models. I know the sport bumper drops down a bit more, But is there a way i can put it on? Or has anyone seen one for a sport model? I have seen a truck around town with the bar on the sport model, but i only passed him on the road so i dont know if he cut the bumper or not. Thanks for any help guys!

Not sure, but I think Sport means different things for different years. As far as I can tell, for earlier gen II it jsut meant some bolt-ons but later in the run the actual metal bumper was different. The whole thing about Sport model confuses me - maybe somebody who knows more will explain.

FWIW, I just replaced the front bumper on my 96 Sport and all I had to do to remount the bull/brush bar -or whatever it's called- was to cut a slot in the new chin spoiler/front air damn -or whatever you want to call that bottom plastic piece. The bar itself mounts to the frame behind the bumper so I don't can see how it could be too different for Sport vs non-Sport.

Well the only reason i could come up with is that with the sport, instead of cutting that small black air deflectof, you would have to cut through the front bumper instead. As far as the Sport package, i beleive on the 99' to 01' models, it consisted of the painted rear bumper, the painted rear lights, the front bumper w/ fog lights, painted grill, clear headlights, and always came stock with the alluminum wheels. And of course the sport stickers on the side and rear of it. There might be a few things im missing, but i beleive that pretty much sums up the "sport" package. I dont know if it has anythign to do with the Sport but my truck always spins both tires, when my friends 01, which is just a normal model w/o the sport, barely ever pulls posi. That could be somthing with the towing package, or maybe another package with the truck as well.

My '96 Sport has most of that including "painted rear bumper, the painted rear lights, the front bumper w/ fog lights, painted grill, clear headlights, and always came stock with the alluminum wheels. And of course the sport stickers on the side and rear of it."

So maybe it boils down to just the metal part of the front bumper. On my '96, the front bumper is painted like yours, but the metal is the same as them non-Sporty trucks. Fog lights are in the inserts in the bumper slots rather than in separate holes in the metal bumper.

How close is my guesstimate?

As far as the billet goes, theres a guy that works in the next shop over from me with a sport and has the billet grill. I'll ask him about it. He just bought it a few months ago, so it might have been there since before him.. Cant hurt asking though. I'll let ya know if he knows a place to get it.
