Yeah i keep an eye out, i'm usually under there once a week. I got it from summit race for 30 bucks, and the install was simple if not a bit hard to find to good placement. Summit Remote Trans Filter

I looks like cheap insurance and well worth the time and money. I'm putting one on my list for future mods.

It came with all the clamps and lines, and yes it's on the hot side. And even a sticker to stick under the hood stating what kind of filters it takes.

I agree that if someone is checking under the hood often
that problems might be caught early.

In the 'better pic' attachment above
it shows two barbed fittings with old fashioned hose clamps
amongst the factory crimped fittings.

I would change those out for crimped fittings too.

I did that to my truck three or four years ago along with the temp sensor / gauge combo and trans cooler. One of the best things that I have done. I mounted mine in a different location though. Anyways, it has not leaked one bit since the install. I got mine from Summit as well. At the time that I got mine, they had two different types: the basic with just the filter and the deluxe with the filter, sensor and gauge. I bought one of those gauge pillar pods for it and it looks cool.
