my dodge is a '95 1/2 ton with a 318 after the engine warms up it starts to shake, i replaced my sparkplugs, dist. cap, rotor, and wires.... what could be causing this??

check your o2 sensor, I had a o2 heater fuse blow which caused a similar problem. Another thing could be a vacuum leak at the throttle body.

 

where exactly is the o2 sensor on this truck...i am new to dodges..

 

some trucks have o2 sensors in your exhaust before and after the cat. but some trucks only have one

i think its all contained in the 02 sensor...

All thats invloved is getting a wrench thats the right size and unscrewing it from the exhaust. Very simple basic maint. Crawl under the truck and you'll see some wires coing out of the exhaust, thats the O2. They can get pretty stuck in there sometimes. Don't be affraid to give it a really good tug, but don't break it off either. Most people come back and say they couldn't get it off. You really do have to give them a really good tug if they're rusted in.

 

could be a torque converter problem too. buddy of mine had the same symptom and it turned out to be the converter.

 

what do you guys suggest for a replacement o2 sensor?

as for the original question, mine used to shake pretty good, but then i did a tune up. all has been well ever since.
