RE: My 1996 5.9 Ram
I have to agree with Jarheadx. If you want good mpg, then get a honda to drive while your modding you truck. That is what I had to settle for. I have a small ranger that I drive to work and use my big truck in the woods, muddin, towin or anything else that a big truck should do. With all my mods, it would not surprise me if I got even 10 mpg.

Hi Steve,
What is the sport headlight conversion? Mine has Sport decal on the rear, but I don't see anything different in the headlights I have and other 2nd gen Ram's. Mine has fog lights, not all have those. But I thought headlights were the same.

you might consider the sport headlight conversion... I had it and loved it.

I understand what you guys are sayin about gas mileage on a truck, but its my daily driver too. I can't afford another car and the insurance on both of them, i'm a poor college student. So basically i'm trying to get everything in one package, which doesn't work very well, because i need to be able to tow 5,000lbs, not get stuck when i'm off the beaten path in some crazy fishing spot, and also drive it to work and college every day...I'm not complaining about gas mileage, I just dont want to lessen my gas mileage any lower than it already is.

it's using 4 bulbs instead of 2 in your headlights. basiclly your replacing your headlight assembly with sport ones... check out this thread for more info. I did this and the only problem I had was the wiring was wrong, took about 10 minutes to get it right. they may have it ironed out by now, last time I looked at it was about a year ago.

This looks like a really good conversion in every way. Will look good and work good. Putting in 4 bulbs in place of 2 in a housing with a free form reflector will do more than double the light output. If I use relays, that will increase more. And better bulbs, yet more. All in all, way better than HID conversion because of the reflector mismatch. Going to order a set now.
There are times I think about deliberately letting my RAM reduce the out of control deer population near me, but better by choice than not seeing the vermin.
