Yes the dodge rams with magnum motors all come with a throttle body manufactured by Holley. It isn't a high performance unit or anything like that.

Nice truck by the way!

First i'm gonna get some halo projector 1-piece headlights because i drive country roads all the time and the stock lights aren't bright enough for me. I'm thinking an FIPK Intake. Basically, i want more power and better fuel economy, but i do use it for towing trailers, and i'm off the beaten path frequently, no hardcore muddin, but i definitely dont stay on pavement. What would you guys recommend next? btw...i dont have a large budget.

you might consider the sport headlight conversion... I had it and loved it.

cheep mods include modding the crank sensor for more timing and a 180 deg t-stat. the K&N fipk is a great way to go. as for milelage mods, everyone will say they improve mileage but I have only seen a couple that actually do anything for mileage. a good place to start though is the k&n drop in filter.

You might look into the S&B intake also. It has a box built around it that sort of seals the filter. I draws its air from the stock fender location. I have one and have had no problems with it as of yet.

Nice truck.[8D]
I have a '96, too. Same color! Mine is a club cab/Sport, though.

You might want to look for a Mopar PCM. I don't think they make them anymore for the '96, but they pop up on ebay sometimes. I found mine on another Ram forum. Improves performance, though you have to use premium fuel. Your milage may go up, and offset the cost of premium. "Plug and play".

Edit:
Re-read your post. The Mopar PCM may not be a good idea for you since you tow. I should pay more attention.[sm=smiley24.gif]

Not to be a dick, but normally you don't drive a truck for gas milage. Don't get me wrong I'd love to get 50mpg...but I drive a bike too, and well, 14 mpg is the price you pay to drive a dodge, and im willing to pay that price!

Hi Steve,

What is the sport headlight conversion? Mine has Sport decal on the rear, but I don't see anything different in the headlights I have and other 2nd gen Ram's. Mine has fog lights, not all have those. But I thought headlights were the same.

IIRC the sport models had 2 bulbs per headlight, which made them brighter. So if you can see 2 bulbs inside of your headlight housing then you have the sport set-up.
