Re-keying the ignition/door
A coworker of mine had her house broken into yesterday. They took the key to her Dodge Ram (which was parked outside, but they didn't take it), and also (among other stuff) managed to get the title for the truck too.
My question is, if she has the ignition re-keyed, can the doors be matched to the new ignition so she only needs one key? Anyone every needed to have this done?

Yes it can be done im a locksmith and have done several of them best thing to do if you want to save money is just go to parts store and have them get you a matching set and replace them yourself it's pretty easy
the ignition is also pretty easy, did my grand cherokee years back. I wouldnt wait, id get it done by a locksmith asap... all she needs is to have it stolen before its changed, then she could be really screwed.
yea i sec that and i would also have her do stuff like take pictures of it and **** like that. even if she gunna be gone for awhile and its outside to pull the fuel pump relay out so they cant get anywhere
I think I read somewhere that if you put the t-case into neutral you won't be able to go anywhere since it disengages the axles (right?). Maybe someone with little truck knowledge would have no idea why its not moving when its in drive/reverse and not check the shifter.
