Default Re-keying the ignition/door

A coworker of mine had her house broken into yesterday. They took the key to her Dodge Ram (which was parked outside, but they didn't take it), and also (among other stuff) managed to get the title for the truck too.

My question is, if she has the ignition re-keyed, can the doors be matched to the new ignition so she only needs one key? Anyone every needed to have this done?

The doors are pretty easy, or the ignition is pretty easy?

the ignition is also pretty easy, did my grand cherokee years back. I wouldnt wait, id get it done by a locksmith asap... all she needs is to have it stolen before its changed, then she could be really screwed.

I think I read somewhere that if you put the t-case into neutral you won't be able to go anywhere since it disengages the axles (right?). Maybe someone with little truck knowledge would have no idea why its not moving when its in drive/reverse and not check the shifter.
