I am having some similar symptons. I can hear a clicking sound in the front right side, whether it be in the hub bearing or the UV joint, or in the shifting fork? I cant tell. The noise stops when I put it in 4WD. The 4WD seems to engage and disengage properly. Any thoughts? I have a 95 dodge ram 2500 gas 5.9.

Find out where the vacuum leak is. The steel lines that run across, and along the frame, like to rust and break..... (or, at the very least, leak.....)
