Default control arms

well ive come to the conclusion that the clunk in my front end is my control arm bushings. i dont have a press and im not taking the time to heat them out. i did it in my jeep and it was a PITA and i dont wanna do it again. so im going to bring it and have them done. but id rather do them myself. so i guess my question is, is there anywhere i can buy the whole control arm with the bushings already in and just swap out the whole arms? i need uppers and lowers on both sides.

thanks for everything guys

your best bet is the dealer... Kore Perfromance may have some that will work you might want to call them and ask. Control arm bushings are a PITA to swap out but they are worth it if you go with urethane ones. I've had bad bushings and never had a clunk... did yu find severe movement in one of them?

Might I also suggest replacing the two alignment bolts if you install new control arms.

Good luck.

As far as I know you should be able to get control arms for them...they sell components for lifts, not just full kits.

The lobe gets stretched out. It's a poor design in my opinion. The lobe that's tac welded isin't a problem. It's the lobe that goes on after the bolt is pushed through. It's a shaped fit, and distorts easily.

so your saying the material is weak? I would think that regardles of the lobe shape, as long as you can get the specs right you should be ok. unless the lobe distorting would cause your alignment to go out of spec while in use.

well the bushings are all dry rotted but i cant move them at all with the truck on the ground or in the air...and you can feel the clunk in the passangers and drivers floor right under ur feet and thats there the control arms are. other than those i ahve no idea what else it could be. you feel every little bump and crack in the road and u hear the clunk. its real bad
