clanking noise
ok guys on my way home today i had my radio turned off and i floored the gas and i heard a clanking noise and it was bothering me so i did it again at the next stop sign it did it again so when i got home and i put it in park i stomped the gas again and this time i didnt hear it so it must be something in my transmission so my question is im getting the trans serviced in a couple weeks and going to have the bands adjusted is this going to fix my problem?
check ur rear ujoints because i had this weird noise that would only happen when giving it gas and it turnout to be a worn out rear ujoint replaced it and it stoped sounded like clanking sorta
To see if it's your U-joints, start the vehicle, put your foot on the brake and then shift into drive. Then, shift into reverse. Do this a few times and if it "clunks" then it's your U-Joints.
POSS. COULD BE THE INTAKE VALLEY PAN GASKET IF IT IS ONLY HAPPENING AT WOT. WHEN UNDER LOAD THE ENGINE IS SUCKING IN OIL FROM THE INTAKE VALLEY AND DETONATING AND MAKING A ROD KNOCK.

ok guys today i put on a k&n filter and took my tb off and cleaned it a put in a bottle of seafoam and when i looked in the intake manifold it had oil in it and my throttle body plates had oil on them especially on the underside so im thinking of getting the stage 2 intake manifold from hushes and it comes with his plenum gasket deal
so i guess i can go and check the u joints later
