As far as intakes, do you mean actual intake manifolds or cold air intakes?

As for cold air intakes, go with K&N or S&B. Those are both good, quality brands.

If you meant intake manifolds, the only real options I know of are to modify the stock one or buy an M1. If I were you with a 4x4, I would lightly modify the stock one. Do a search with terms like "modifying kegger", it shouldn't be hard to find something.

yea, i meant intake manifold. I dont know much bout these dodges, but i love em... How are the heads on these? as in are there some that are interchangeable? Im more of a chevy motor builder(not chevy trucks) Like on chevys pretty much all small block parts are interchangeable....Was wonderin if dodge is this way or not...

There is such a thing as too much (carb) or throttle body for the engine. Bigger isn't always better. Hell, I can build a straight-6 with a split intake that will shame any V8 on the track. Check out Dan's site and learn everything you need to know right there.

They are not interchangealde to the extent of chevys at all. The stock heads on our motors are prone to cracking, most everyone that rebuilds one ends up replacing their heads because of that. There are good replacements like the R/T heads (not from the Dodge R/T motors) and there is a heavy duty version some people run. If you search for cylinder heads you will find alot. Also you can check out Dodge Ram FAQ at the top of the forum, it has alot of info.
