Tonight I noticed something strange coming from my rear end. When I take off from a complete stop I get a grinding type noise from my rear end. Then at about 10 mph it does away. The fluid is right up there it should be. Carrier bearings are fairly new. Pinion is original with 100k on it. U-joints are original also. I suppose it could be either but just wanted to ask if anyone has experienced the same thing.

This is on my 97 with a LSD diff.

 

Gridning is never a good sound. I'd start with poping the cover off and looking for any metal shavings or wear paterns.
