285/75 16 are 32.8 as stated above, so you are correct...roughly 33...But 305/70 16 which is the only 305's I know of are not roughly 35...If you do the math, they are mathematically 32.8. The difference in 285's and 305's is the width of the tire..."roughly" 11.2 vs. 12.0...
