I have a '99 quad cab. I was looking online and the front sizes are listed as 5.25". I was in BestBuy the other day and decided to go by the car audio and looked in their system, and it lists the front speakers as 6x9". So, um.. what are the sizes for the front and rear doors?.. As far as the fronts, I have the tweeters in the A pillars, so I don't know if that makes a difference.
Tweeters in the A pillars ... isn't that an Infinity system?

I asked that before in my other thread, but didn't get an answer. The radio seems like a standard Chrysler radio with no Infinity logo.

IIRC Infinity is a speaker manufacturer ... I don't remember if they made head units or not ... gonna go do some research.

Edit: Found this link: http://www.edmunds.com/apps/vdpconta...pageNumber=6#2

It's for the 2006 truck but it states pretty clearly that the Infinity system uses a standard Chrysler head unit. I'll have to check out my owner's manual when I get to the house ... not sure if the Infinity system was even offered in `98 so I might not get any info there either.

Just take off the door and unbolt the front 6x9 it says on the back of the magnet. also if it has the a-pillar tweeters, its the infinity system

So i took off the driver's door panel. First of all, Dodge didn't skimp on the door panel clips. I think there is about 432, at least the door panel will never rattle, lol. Anyways, I took a picture of the back of the speaker. I presume that big black thing on the bottom with all the wires is the crossover?

yep its the cross over. I had my door speaker go and I just replaced it with the stock one. No after market sounded beter and all the after market had tweeters attached. I went down to the wrecher and dropped a whole $25 for a like new infinity speaker.
