Default Tranny problems

i just replaced the front pump and torque converter on my 99 ram because it wasnt shifting correctly. i now have to go from drive to neutral and back to drive to get it to go into the next gear. it wont change on its own. it worked great for about a half hour after i replaced those two items. i went thru the vavle body and cleaned it up. not sure which way to go on this and i dont want to have to rip the tranny out again. any clues on this one guys.

Did you inspect the check ball in the lower cooler line? It may have been the cause of your original failure. I've read of people going through tranny after tranny ... only to find out that the check ball was bad ... causing each shiney new unit to overheat and junk itself.

Any chance that the linkage may have slipped out of adjustment? Just a thought.

Good luck.
