CB radios? We use cell phones these days.

 

there are a couple of reason for still using the cb. one is that a lot of my traveling is in areas of N. Ga mountains where there is no cell phone service. the other is group outings including 4 wheeling, boating, canoeing, hunting, fishing, or hauling wood. Sometimes there are 3, 4, 5 or more trucks, and the cb's allow everyone to talk to each other over short distances (1-2 miles). I even went out a bought a new (to me) one on ebay. its a cobra 29 nightwatch/weather. it has the nice lighted up dials so you can see the darn thing. the weather (wx) has 6 NOAA channels broadcasting continuous weather on AM signal. Since there's hardly anyone on the air waves any more they are actually kind of nice - and I used to really hate them.

 

I have mine for highway driving as well. The trucks keep you informed on cops, roads, traffic, construction...
