Default Heater Core leaking

Noticed heater puts off sweet smell. Now I got coolent dripping out the passenger side heater vent. Does this sound like core needs replacing or is it possibly drainage hose leaking. If this sounds like it needs replacing any tips/ warnings?
Thanks

Yes, your heater core is leaking. Requires a dash pull.

Yep its the heater core the sweet smell is the indicator of a small leak. Wait until you see the wind shield fog up and antifreeze run across the floor board . not cool

check the 2 heater hoses that go to the core. I had one leek were they clamp to the core, and dripped on the floor.

If you are small enough you can drop the wheel and use a bungee cord to string up the dash and squize in behind it. My buddy can do it but me i'm too fat. So if you don't have a skinny buddy the dash has to come all the way out. Also the heater box might be bolted together it might be glued. If it is glued you need to break it and reglue it. There is a piece of plastic that collects junk from the outside that runs down the cowl. It is between the evap core and the heater core. Remove it, its over engineering and the crud it collects is what probable wrecked your heater core. the evap core won't be to far off you should replace them both at the same time.
