A/C Compressor Cycling Off and On
2001 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L
A/C will not blow cold air. It will blow semi-warm air at all fan speeds.
I can hear the compressor turning off and on. It sounds like it is on or trying to turn on for 2 seconds. Will stay off for 6 seconds. Cycle continues as long as A/C is turned on
Checked Coolant and it was below low level. I added more just today and issue continues.
I purchased a Measure and Charge R-134a Refrigerant & Oil canister.
When the Compressor is cycling it measures 5psi when off (6seconds)and shoots up to 45psi (2seconds).
I gave it a quick shot and it went up to 65psi, but conitnued to cycle off and on.
Did not want to break anything more than what it might be already?
Is the compressor going?
Is it the belt? Is it electrical?
