Height of a 1500 4X4
Since I do not know what options or suspension the truck has, is there a way to tell on the door tag- if it was bought with the towing package or plowing etc?? The reason is it is high. I am looking down at most other vehicles on the road. I am all good with the height, but just do not know if a suspension mod was done, or if it was bought like that...
These come quite a bit higher then other 1/2 trucks. Search on here for "rebuild sheet" in the 2nd Gen Forum and you'lll get a link for a chrysler site. Fill out the form and they'll email you a list of everything your truck came from the factory with. Have your VIN ready, you'll need that.
Sorry, its build sheet I think
But what the hey, I found it for ya, I need to bookmark it anyways

they are tall. i had to put step bars on mine so all my short fat friends could get in and out.
my 01 has stock factory suspension and its not an off road package. it has a 4 inch block between the leaf spring and top of the rear axle. unloaded, with the 285/75/16 tires the bottom of the rear fender wells are at 41 inches. the bottom of the fronts are at 38.5. i still don't have a ball mount with the right drop. its going to take a 6" or maybe an 8". i wish the rear springs were stouter. they squat fast when you start loading wood.
