Default Series 40

What size of inletopening does a 5.9L take. I want to go with the series 40 from flow master with the duals in the back but the only one they have has a three inch inlet and i want to make sure it's right.

There is some debate on here about what the inlet is. When I was measuring mine to determine if I wanted a full cat back, or just a new muffler, I measure it to be 3". But removing the old muffler is going to leave a large hole that needs to be filled. The shop that does all of my work placed the muffler back at the tail pipe, then ran a new pipe to fill the hole infront. This not only tucked the muffler and pipes up out of the way of anything, but allowed me to be positive that it was 3". This is just something to think about.

mine was 2.5" . have the shop weld on a 3 inch pipe for the muffler.. as myself just change my exhaust , went from 3 inch single I/O to a 3" from the cat back to the muffler to a dual 2.5 inch exit with 3.5 SS tips.... and i couldnt tell any lost with low end or the torque click the link below to listen to it...

My Aero is a sweet setup. I don't have video or audio of it, but it sounds sweet. It roars when I open the throttle, and purs when I am running smoothly. I suggest looking at their website . They are pricey, but worth every penny to me.

I checked them out. Does aero make a model that has duals out the back of the muffler.

Nope. They could be used if you had a y pipe made or purchased. I know they have several pictures on their site of people with Dodges running duals.
