Default Leaf Spring Shot, Ideas?

Hey guys,

My back leaf springs are gone one side sits lower than the other and it sits way low at the back. So i was thinkin if i got leaf spring from a 2500 it would increase the capacity plus i would like the back end to be higher than the front. Would this change the ride/handling and if this a bad idea if there are any other suggestions thanks

Are ya sure you don't have a broken shackle? Leaf springs are pretty inexpensive. Any local shops around your area that do suspension? Have you inspected your leafs for cracks?

Good luck.

2500 springs will put you about 4 inches higher in the back then the front.. is that to high for you?? try 1500 4x4 leaf springs because 2500 springs are 2 inches bigger (higher) then 4x4's

Aren't 2500 leafsprings 3 inches wide and your 1500's are 2,5 inches? You may have some fitment issues.
I'd determine the problem and repair it using 1500 parts. A set of off road springs will give you about 3 inches over a stock 4x4 ram. I'm not sure what you'd get on a 2wd truck.

ya i think they're pretty bad they're as flat as a board plus i would like the back a little higher, plus the left side is lower than the right and the back is lower than the front, looks awful on such a long truck, so which do you think 1500 4x4 or 2500? and they would just bolt in a bing lift in the back? Now if the front were just as easy
