Default 01 ram 1500

bought a 01 dodge ram 1500 90,000 miles: starts runs great at times then it will cut out a die and not start for a little while. change fuel pump still doing it any suggestions?

Cam and or crank sensors are usually the culprit for the problem you have explained.

Agree, could be cam or crank, or could just be a dirty IAC.

IAC...Idle Air Control valve, located at the back of the throttle body.
