ok so my trans blew its the 5 speed i ordered a new one like 3 weeks ago and it has been sitting in my garage i finally got the old one out and set it next to my new one and i noticed that the tail part is about two inchs longer on my old one and the bolt holes for the 4wd shifter are diffrent shouldnt alll 94-02 rams have the same 5 speed in the 1500 they probally gave me the chevy version or something i am just mad at the moment and venting

 

Thats wierd, they might ahve given you one for a diffrent t-case. Rams use NP231s and NP241s

 

but the 241 didnt come on a 1500 and the nvg4500 came on the 2500 so i dont know

 

Yeah, I dunno what else unless they gave you the wrong tranny all together. Does it have the part # on it?
