Dump the ideas of underdrive pullies...If you are running any electronics, lights, amps, subs and the works, your alternator can't keep up with demand with the underdrives.

You can't forget the m1, heads, and big @$$ cam. Scratch the 1.7's and get 1.6rr with a big @$$ cam.

Why do the M1? Save money by cutting down the intake runners and the divider plate in the existing intake, and then upgrading to the sturdier gasket and APS belly pan. Then, with the money you could have spent on an M1, you get the 1.7's and a Fastman, which is like getting a bigger cam.

tried this?

I run under drives on my 87 mustang and it has a 95amp alternator, I seriously doubt the stock chrsyler one is less than 120, and probally is 140 like my stock ford one is in my 00. Pullies would be fine.

besides most three piece kits have two underdrive pullies and the alt pulley is an overdrive pulley to compensate. Youd get more from the U/Ds than you would much any other bolt on.
