fastman tb: 50/52 with 360?
yeah i know everyone right now is thinking not another fastman thread, but i'm going to be ordering one very soon but still can't make a final decision. my driving habits: no towing, RPMs < 2500 (unless i'm messing around), daily driver. I've got 3.55 gears with 285's. I talked to dan and he recommended the 50mm because he said it suited my driving habits best. I agreed with him until I thought about the fact when the time for new tires comes I will be getting 265's, going back to normal setup where power should hopefully return, along with some more mileage (getting 11.5 average now). I think the reason i kinda thought about going with the 50mm was because of the gear/tire combo making the truck sluggish. but people have been telling me go with the 52mm anyways, since i don't tow. (and even if i did it would be a little landscaping trailer, nothing big, and very rare). so i guess vote for which option you think would be best for my setup/driving habits.
is there any possible way going from stock TB to either fastman i could lose lowend? for the 52mm, is there a gain in low end, if so, is it noticable? (0-2500 RPMs)?

50mm, because Dan said so
Your probably not gonna see much of a diffrence when going down to a 265. I didn't notice a diffrence hardly when I went from 265 to 285s.

yeah lol its a hard choice. i mean like for my every day driving i would probably like the 50mm, but once in awhile if id like some power id like the 52mm.
i just wish i knew like when and where the 50mm and 52mm kick in to good use, like i dont wanna spend the $230 to get the 52mm to only really work in the 3000 RPM+ range, ya know.

the way i look at it is if the hood of my truck makes it to the stop sign before my body does, then i wasnt driving fast enough.
what kind of throttle body do you suggest for me?

I think you both need the 52mm ...
timwag: You have the 5.9 and already have headers and a high flow exhaust and it sounds like you dig acceleration (as do I). You'll undoubtedly be happier with the bigger bores.
ripto: Again ... 5.9 ... you already have a high flow and are threatening to get headers ... and you want an occasional thrill ... I think you'll appreciate the bigger gains realized off of the 52mm.

i think that you would like the 52mm myself cause when you do get on the gas hard that you would benefit from the 52 more but what do i know what ever you get it will be better than stock
52mm recommended for the 360 so thats what I choose, now have a billet 55 on my 408.
