Ok so me and my dad have been arguing about what we should do with my truck. It has 186000 miles on it and it needs new heads. I think we should junk it and move on and he wants to spend $1400 on a new long block. we paid 3500 for it what do you guys think? the reason he thinks we should put a new engine in is because this will be the 3rd set of heads in a year and we think the block is warped.

 

3rd set of heads in a year????!!!! i would definatly move on! sounds like a money pit.

Unless, you need the money for a new truck...I would get a new truck and keep the one you have now for a beater or a project, if you have the room to store it. Use it at car shows for burnout contests?

im almost at that point too
3500 for the truck, 168k...1400 for a longblock doesnt sound horrible to me.
