also make sure you use distilled water when you re-fill... the crap you see is from nasty tap water. some tap waters are fine but your best bet for peace of mind is the distilled.

Well Mayfair I believe if u run it through the system it will help clean up the corrosion . I tnink it get's rid of lime build up too.
