Do Headlight Polish/Cleaners Work?- UPDATE
i use 3 different grits of sandpaper and then finish it off with metal polish (mother billet wheel polish). before i sand them i used CLR to make sure it was clean. now i didnt do this on my truck, but it worked wonders on my father mercury sable.
I used this stuff a while ago. It worked very well and the headlights have stayed clear ever since I used it.

Can't remember where I read this, but brake fluid will clear up fadded lenses. I tried this over the weekend and it did a pretty good job removing that dull appearance and the results while driving that night were impressive! I'm sure you all have a bottle of brake fluid around somewhere, it's less expensive than those others I read here and the results are the same.

Like Sprinks said, I tried the brake fluid today and it worked awesome. My headlight lenses on our 2000 Ram were yellow, looked bad. I couldn't believe how well the brake fluid worked. They look like new again! Cheap and easy fix.
brake fluid will clean just about anything... it may damage some surfaces so you need to be careful. years back I spilled some on a painted surface and it bubbled the paint and it peeled off.
Iwas looking at cleaners/polishes and came across "CV" (Clear View I believe), not only cleans and polishes but also comes with a protectant as well. Anyone tried it? Think I might.
