Default Need help with Aero 3030!

I will be installing an Aero 3030 in my 98 2500 Ext Cb this weekend and was wondering about location. I thought I read that about a foot behind the 02 sensor was best but I think that was on the newer Hemi's. Anyone know about the 5.9? Any help is appreciated!

i'd put it right behind the rear o2 sensor a foot sounds good. I have one on my CTD and love it!

My 3030 is tucked up in the location of the stock muffler...Basically, put the exit pipe on the tail pipe just where the original muffler mounted, then run a new pipe up front. If the front pipe is bent, then you are allowed to tuck it all up inside the frame nice and clean. Check out my cardomain in signature for a picture of my truck and muffler.

Yep !!

Steve has his mounted where his cat was, and I have mine mounted where my old muffler was. BOTH of us are happy, so I guess whatever is easiest for you. Steve seems to think ( and he knows more than I do ) that mounting it closer to the turbo is better. My fear with that is that it might be too noisy there since that area is still under the cab. I dunno.

I think in his situation, anyplace behind the o2 will work for him.

Let us know how it works out. I have limited feedback on a gasser and would like to know how it does.
