RE: Time for Tires
I am running 35" Goodyear MT/Rs and I feel they do good on the snowy roads. Although I have not run ATs I dont think you would be disapointed with these tires. I run studded tires on my commuter 4x4 and I feel the Goodyears don't have much less traction. They also self clean much better than BFG all-terrains and you can run them all year long.

I hated my MTRs on my jeep.

take a look at the truXus Sts tires, they grip really well.

RE: Time for Tires
i have toyo m/t's they are the best tire i have owned yet 37" and quieter than my old 31" bfg t/a's on my old truck. my brother works at a tire shop he said guys are getting 60,000 miles out of them. if you drive on the road much the baha claws are by far the loudest roughest riding tire i have ever seen, my buddy just got rid of a set cause they were so bad
