Not that it means anything, but I have a 95' CTD. And I found that SEVERAL of my troubles over the years were related to low vacuum. I'm not saying bad vacuum lines are your problem. I just have an attitude with my Ram that after 10-12 years, some things just should be replaced. The vacuum lines and check valves were in bad shape. That hard plastic line they use seems to have only x amount of life. And in reality, that same line is excellent for vacuum.
Maybe you have a vacuum leak or a bad air pump. Just a shot.
I'm sure the climate extremes contribut to the life of a lot of things on my truck.....me included...LOL.
Anyway, just me blabbering.
Good luck with your ride.

fuel pumps either work or don't work, there is no gradual loss of power or whatever you want to call it... when it goes it goes, and usually in the lamest most inconvenient time ever, or it could be my bad luck
It's your bad luck. Mine crapped out in my driveway.
Actually ... now that I think about it ... when is it ever a convenient time to loose one? You're usually trying to start the truck to GO someplace.
