Default coolant leak.

anyone had coolant leaking from the intake manifold. i may have this problem. i noticed a leak seemingly to come from the top of the water pump. first and easiest option i pull the thermostat housing, replace the thermo since its cheap enough and seal it back up again. still leaking from same area. pull the water pump, clean it all up, and replace it with a new one since its still under warranty from the last time i did this. still leaking from the same area. before i pull the a/c condensor, altenator and all that other BS, can you guys think of anything else it might be?

isnt there a heater hose direcly next to the thermostat housing? i think i had a leak there before also. check the hoses and make sure clamps are tight. you may need to replace hoses.

i think so. I'ld have to look at my truck. its only a couple of inches away from the thermostat housing. i think that the hose was messed upwhere it connected and i replaced it. it was a few years ago so my memory is a little off

I had a mysterious leak as well. Seemingly down the block from the intake on the drivers side. Found out it's the freeze plugs. I found out they can corrode from inside the block and leak regardless of outside temp. My truck has 170k miles on it...
