paid 19,500 for mine in 1996... I have changed the oil... filled up the gas... and put on new tires and other than that it has needed virtually nothing... the horn went out when it was still under warrenty... my only mistake was not buying two...

ha, yeaaa there was alittle wrong with the vette. it looked good all shiny but it was a rats nest of wires, the body was falling off, leaked every possible fluid imaginable. it was an '84 with a '94 updated body kit on it... also had like 160,000 miles on it..... i still miss it though [:'(]

Lets see, $4,500 6 months ago. Its a 1995 Ram 2500 with the V10 (great on gas) that has 90,000 on the clock. The body has 3 decent dings in it, and it had a lot of little scratches and swirl marks. Fortunatly for me some Meguire's Scratch X took out almost every single scratch and 90% of the swirl marks. Only had to bring it into the shop for a replaced track bar.

bought my 99 1500 2wd 360 in '04 with 144k on it. i paid i think $4200. it already had the 22's, an AEM brute force cai, si/do flowmaster(not sure what model but i want it louder lol) 3 months after i bought it the waterpump blew up. i just replaced the output speed sensor on the tranny a few months ago and now i am gonna be doing the plenum before the new year. i now have 167k on it with only a minor coolant leak somewhere on the front of the engine and almost no clear coat left on the roof and the front of the bedsides. i used to have a '01 ext-cab with the 318 but when my daughter was born the wife didnt like sitting in the 90 degree back seat. i feel i got a good deal on the truck itself but i screwed up being about $10k upside down in my sebring that i traded(had electrical problem that dealership charged me $70 and had for 2 days just to tell me they couldnt figure out what was wrong)

My wife and I bought ours from my parents a little more than a month ago. '99 Ram 1500 QC 5.9, most options, Rancho RS5000 shocks 61,000 miles. My Dad was the original owner, he had a few problems here and there but for the most part it was a pretty good truck. We paid $5,500 The main reason we bought it was to haul our "toys" to and from the desert. First weekend we had it we pulled our dune buggy about 300 miles to and from the desert (about 3K pounds combined) came home and found the water pump was leaking, had that changed then got it caught up on maintence. Then it developed a rough idle, changed the IAC, had the TB cleaned and eventually found one of the spark plugs was mis-gapped (my mistake). Runs good now. I had the windows tinted, installed a Blaupunkt detatchable face CD player. After the first of the year I'm going to put a cat-back exhaust on, and maybe some fresher A/T tires (has half worn-out Bridgestone A/T tires on it now, got stuck on it's second trip to the desert). We feel like we got a good deal, and we paid ~4K less than we would of for a comparable vehicle from a dealer (in our area). We get a lot of comments from people about how clean it is. That being said though we may not keep it too long, we like it but the trans issues aa lot of people have scare me, plus we may need a 3/4 ton soon, but for now it's nice, though we don't drive it that much, we save it mainly for long trips where we need to haul something.
