A door hinge upgrade? Now I HAVE seen everything.

Love the idea for re-installing the spring.... I wouldn't have thought that wire ties would hold it. Nice.

Default Waste of time

Door hindge replacements are a waste of time and money. If your door sags, take washers and put the on the door side of the bottom hindge, doing that will raise up the door. I spent $30 for new pins when a 10 cnet washer fixed the sag.

Sounds more like a bandaid than a true fix. That's not going to fix the worn bushings and holes.

So do pins and bushings, and they last longer as well. Your hinges will continue to deteriorate, as there are no bushings any more.

Ok, so the new pins and bushes did help, im not disowning the fact that they were wopped, what i was trying to say in a hurry was that although the bushings and pins helped, it didnt completely line my door up, which is where the washers came into play. The washer is what finished the job. Thats all, i misspoke in my first reply

I had to loosen the bolts, and re-adjust the hinges on mine. I guess everything sags a bit over time.

yesterday the metal tab that is supposed to close the door got stuck internally some how and wouldn't let the door close. after i got that cleared it dropped the back of the door's position more. now it won't close unless i pick the door up while it closes at the striker lug.

i was looking on how to replace the hinges and there is a bolt that comes from the inside out.
my question is how to i replace the hinge? top and bottom.
where is the connection for the electric? inside the door or the kicker panel?
any advice in the door hinge department?
could i have sprung the door itself?
let me know

i have a 95 single cab
thanks
you just told my experience to the letter that happened to me exactly lol
