96 5.2L computer

whats the difference with a 5.2 L and a 5.9 L computers ? the reason why i ask cause a friend of mine gave me a hypertech PCM #961400 ..paper says its for a 5.2/5.9 but when i called hypertech they say its only for a 5.9 ? and i need a 961300.. So whats the difference between them ?
